Description of this Negrita plaque
Dating from 1910, this famous illustration of Negrita rum comes from the artist Albert Dorfinant. Created in 1886 by Bardinet, a French alcohol distributor, La Negrita was quickly referred to simply as “Negrita”. On the visual, we can see the Caribbean waitress that appears on all Negrita bottles, which is still used on current bottles.
