“Les Tontons Flingueurs” is a 1963 French film directed by Georges Lautner. The film revolves around a former gangster named Fernand Naudin, played by Lino Ventura, who is now a wealthy businessman. When his friend dies, Fernand Naudin agrees to look after his daughter, Patricia, and manage her business. However, things get complicated when his friend’s nephew, Louis, appears and claims part of the inheritance. Louis, who is a disreputable man, seeks to take over all of his uncle’s business, including Fernand Naudin’s. The two men then come into conflict, leading to a series of comic twists and action scenes. The film is also known for its stellar cast, including Bernard Blier, Francis Blanche, Jean Lefebvre, and Venantino Venantini, as well as its famous soundtrack composed by Michel Magne. “Les Tontons Flingueurs” is now considered a classic of French cinema and remains a benchmark in the crime comedy genre.
