Description of this Peter Pan Movie Poster

Peter Pan is the 14th animated feature film from Walt Disney Studios and was released in 1953. It refers to the Peter Pan stories by James M. Barrie.

The sequel, Peter Pan: Return to Neverland, was released in 2002. Currently, Disney is producing a live-action adaptation of Peter Pan under the title Peter Pan & Wendy.

In search of his cufflinks, George Darling, an irascible family man, gets into all sorts of predicaments, the common cause of which he eventually finds in the Peter Pan stories that Wendy, the eldest daughter, has told her two brothers. Exasperated, Father Darling announces Wendy’s last night in the children’s room and forbids them from Peter Pan. That same evening, while the parents are out for dinner, Peter Pan surprises the Darling children in the middle of the night, looking for his shadow. To prevent Wendy from growing up, he invites all three of them to come with him to Neverland. Thanks to pixie dust from Tinkerbell, who is not happy that Peter only has eyes for her, Wendy, Klaus (John), and Michael fly to Neverland by crossing London at night. Once there, they are greeted by the sound of cannons from Captain Hook’s pirate ship. While the Darling children are on the run, a jealous Tinkerbell alerts the “enchanted children” and orders them, in Peter’s name, to kill Wendy, which Peter Pan manages to prevent at the last moment. He banishes the Star Fairy.

While Wendy and Peter Pan are traveling to the Sea Maidens’ Lagoon, the lost children, Klaus, and Michael are kidnapped by Indians who want to avenge the theft of the Indian princess Tigerlily. She has been kidnapped by none other than Hook, who wants to know Peter Pan’s hiding place and threatens to let her drown in Skull Rock at high tide. Here too, Peter Pan is able to intervene to save the day, which earns him the honorary Indian honor at an Indian festival and the right to dance with Tigerlily. Wendy then becomes very jealous and wants to return home with her brothers.

Meanwhile, Captain Hook has learned of Pan’s hiding place from the Star Fairy, whom he is holding captive. He kidnaps the children and places a time bomb in the well of Peter Pan’s hiding place. The latter survives the explosion thanks to the timely warning given by the escaped fairy and wins a final battle against Captain Hook and the pirates. Wendy and her brothers return home.

Wendy is sleeping by the open window when her parents return home. Together, they look out the window, where Peter Pan and his flying boat can still be seen. Father Darling recognizes that he acted too soon and lets Wendy remain a child.
